Create a "Connected App" for Erbium
- Under the PLATFORM TOOLS section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Apps | App Manager:
- Select "New Connected App"
- From the pop-up select "Create a New Connected App" and press "Continue"
- Provide the Connected App Name, API Name, and Contact Email. We suggest using "ERBIUM" for the Connected App Name. The API Name will automatically assume the same name assuming it has not been used elsewhere within your SalesForce instance. Ensure Contact Email is a valid, accessible email address.
- Enable the checkbox API (Enable OAuth Settings) and enter https://secure.erbium.com as the Callback URL. Highlight "Manage user data via API's" and click 'Add' to select the scope.
- Enable the checkbox next to "Enable Client Credentials Flow" and accept the warning dialog by clicking "OK"
- Click "Save" and "Continue" to proceed.
- Once the Connector is created click "Manage Connected Apps" (or "manage" in the top menu of the Connected App" to ensure two further settings are configured for the ERBIUM connected app.
- Under the section entitled "Client Credentials Flow" enter the name of the Integration User create above - "ERBIUM" within the Run As input box. You can select the search icon for assistance.
- Ensure that the OAuth Usage Policies indicate "All users may self-authorize"
