Create An Integration User
- Under the ADMINISTRATION section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Users | Users:
- Click "New User" to create a new user.
- Provide a Name and Alias for the User. For ease of identification we suggest using "ERBIUM" for both.
- Provide an accessible Email address since you may be required to create a password for the User.
- Importantly, ensure the user is assigned a "Salesforce Integration" User License and "Salesforce API Only Integration" Profile.
- Click "SAVE"
Create a "Permission Set"
- Under the ADMINISTRATION section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Users | Permission Sets:
- Click on "New" to create a new Permission Set
- Provide a label (we suggest "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS") and an API name (we suggest "ERBIUM_OBJECT_ACCESS") and an optional description.
- Importantly DO NOT SELECT a License. Leave this choice as " -- None --".
- Click SAVE but remain on the page to continue the next step to customizing the newly created Permission Set.
Customize "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" Permission Set for Objects Settings
- Under the "Apps" permissions select "Object Settings"
- Select "Accounts"
- Set Record Type Assignments to Enabled for all:
- Set Object Permissions to enabled for Read, Create, Edit and View All:
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
- Set Record Type Assignments to Enabled for all:
- Select "Campaigns"
- Set Record Type Assignments as appropriate to your organization. This example illustrates an "Event" record type:
- Set Object Permissions to Enabled for all:
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access"
- Set Record Type Assignments as appropriate to your organization. This example illustrates an "Event" record type:
- Select "Campaign Members"
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
- Select "Opportunities"
- Set Record Type Assignment enabled for all Assigned Record Types
- Set Object Permissions to Enabled for all:
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
- Set Record Type Assignment enabled for all Assigned Record Types
- Select "Opportunity Contact Role"
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all"
- Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all"
Customize "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" Permission set for System Permissions
- Under the "System" section select "System Permissions":
- Enable both "Customize Application"
- Enable "Manage Custom Permissions"
- Enable "View Roles and Role Hierarchy"
- Enable "View Setup and Configuration"
- Click "SAVE"
Assign "ERBIUM" User to "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" User to Permission Set
- Under the ADMINISTRATION section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Users | Permission Sets:
- Select "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" Permission Set
- Select "Add Assignments"
- From the list of Users check the box next to the "Erbium" user
- Click "Assign" button to save the selection
