Create An Integration User

1. Under the ADMINISTRATION section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Users | Users:
   
   
   
   
2. Click "New User" to create a new user.
   
   
3. Provide a Name and Alias for the User.  For ease of identification we suggest using "ERBIUM" for both.
   
   
4. Provide an accessible Email address since you may be required to create a password for the User.
   
   
5. Importantly, ensure the user is assigned a "Salesforce Integration" User License and "Salesforce API Only Integration" Profile.
   
   
   
   
6. Click "SAVE"

Create a "Permission Set"

1. Under the ADMINISTRATION section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Users | Permission Sets:
   
   
   
   
2. Click on "New" to create a new Permission Set
   
   
   
   
3. Provide a label (we suggest "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS") and an API name (we suggest "ERBIUM_OBJECT_ACCESS") and an optional description.
   
   
4. Importantly DO NOT SELECT a License.  Leave this choice as " -- None --".
   
   
5. Click SAVE but remain on the page to continue the next step to customizing the newly created Permission Set.

Customize "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" Permission Set for Objects Settings

1. Under the "Apps" permissions select "Object Settings"
   
   
   
   
2. Select "Accounts"
   
   • Set Record Type Assignments to Enabled for all:
     
     
   • Set Object Permissions to enabled for Read, Create, Edit and View All:
     
     
   • Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
     
     
     
     
3. Select "Campaigns"
   • Set Record Type Assignments as appropriate to your organization.  This example illustrates an "Event" record type:
     
     
     
     
   • Set Object Permissions to Enabled for all:
     
     
     
     
   • Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access"
     
     
     
     
4. Select "Campaign Members"
   
   
   • Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
     
     
     
     
5. Select "Opportunities"
   
   • Set Record Type Assignment enabled for all Assigned Record Types
     
     
   • Set Object Permissions to Enabled for all:
     
     
   • Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all.
     
     
     
     
6. Select "Opportunity Contact Role"
   
   
   • Set Field Permissions to both "Read Access" and "Edit Access" for all"
     
     

Customize "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" Permission set for System Permissions

1. Under the "System" section select "System Permissions":
   
   
   
   
2. Enable both "Customize Application" 
   
   
   
   
3. Enable "Manage Custom Permissions"
   
   
   
   
4. Enable "View Roles and Role Hierarchy"
   
   
   
   
5. Enable "View Setup and Configuration"
   
   
   
   
6. Click "SAVE"

Assign "ERBIUM" User to "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" User to Permission Set

1. Under the ADMINISTRATION section of your SalesForce Settings navigate to the Users | Permission Sets:
   
   
2. Select "ERBIUM - OBJECT ACCESS" Permission Set
   
   
3. Select "Add Assignments"
   
   
   
   
4. From the list of Users check the box next to the "Erbium" user
   
   
   
   
5. Click "Assign" button to save the selection
